BOSTON UNIVERSITY NEWS, December 9, 1958

In my 3rd year at Boston Univer- Theatre, I made a proposal to Alpha Psi Omega,  the National Theatre Honor Society to which I belonged, that they sponsor me to produce & direct a Christmas pro- duction to tour children's hospitals & group homes in the Boston area. The play, Alice in Santaland,                                                           was written by Martin Sherman (Bent, Messiah, Rose. . . ) my fellow classmate at the Theatre School of B.U. The project was a great success and continued the next year with the production of a play called A Gift for the Christmas Princess. In addition to producing & directing it, I created a role for myself, Squiggles the Clown, to introduce the play & entertain the children during the interval.
